The Fire Apes is the Alternative/lndie/Britpop/Baroque Pop/Rock music project of American multi-instrumentalist John Seymour.
The forthcoming 2024/2025 releases were produced by Steve Lunt, former VP of A&R at Atlantic Records and engineered, mixed, and mastered by multi-Grammy award-winning and RIAA Platinum and Gold records recipient, Dave Darlington, at Bass Hit Studios, NY, New York.
These songs continue Seymour's contemporary take on the classic British lnvasion, Britpop, Baroque Pop, and post Britpop sound, influenced by acts like The Beatles, The Who, The Yardbirds, The Hollies, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones with Brian Jones, Oasis, and Coldplay.
John Seymour has been writing music from the time he can remember. But shortly after experiencing early musical success playing under the moniker, The Fire Apes, John suffered a life-changing and debilitating onset of acute Panic-Anxiety Disorder. Agoraphobia became a part of his life. Confined in an illusory prison, not of his own making, John continued to write music and lyrics. Most of these lyrics are written metaphorically.
A mathematics and physics teacher and literature enthusiast, Seymour's inspirations and underlying meanings are usually a cathartic existential expression within the construct of the indie/alt rock genre. Perhaps best succinctly described by music critic Jeremy Morse, "[John Seymour] understands what the British pop invasion was about and yet transcends the past and merges it beautifully with the future."
With his troubles currently behind him, John is unshaken, possessing a quiet, gentle strength, and exudes a constant optimism that defies the challenges of a previous life.

ln reference to the yet-to-be-released album, Eric Beall, author of the bestseller "Making Money Making Music," said, "Love what you're doing … l'm a real fan!"
